Leadership In Education

Our Leadership Education programme offers courses and training for Emerging Leaders aged 13-21

At Leadership Matters our delivery focuses on fun and creative workshops designed to develop the leadership skills and capabilities of students and young adults

Aimed at those still in High School and Higher Education showing potential and interest in leadership we also mentor and begin the leadership development process to instill best practices for the next generation of leaders. These can be prefects, head boys and girls as well as year groups.  All our courses are age appropriate and tailored to each organisation.

Our programs aim to empower young people to become effective leaders in various contexts, including schools, communities, organizations, and even political or social movements. Our Emerging Leaders training typically focuses on the following areas:

Modules include:

Personal Development

Young leaders are encouraged to explore their strengths, values, and passions, and develop self-awareness and self-confidence. This involves fostering a growth mindset, setting goals, managing time effectively, and building resilience.

Communication And Collaboration

Effective communication and collaboration skills are essential for leadership. Training programs help young leaders develop skills in public speaking, active listening, conflict resolution, negotiation, and building relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Team Building And Management

Young leaders often work in teams and need to understand the dynamics of effective teamwork. Training programs provide guidance on building and managing teams, delegating responsibilities, motivating team members, and promoting a positive team culture.

Decision-Making And Problem-Solving

Emerging leaders learn how to make informed decisions and solve problems effectively. This involves critical thinking, analyzing information, considering different perspectives, and weighing the potential impacts of decisions.

Ethical Leadership

Emerging leaders are encouraged to develop a strong sense of ethics and integrity. Training programs emphasize the importance of ethical leadership, including accountability, transparency, and making decisions that consider the well-being of others and the broader community.

Social Awareness And Responsibility

Young leaders are exposed to social issues and encouraged to develop empathy, cultural competence, and a sense of social responsibility. They learn about social justice, sustainable development, inclusivity, and how to advocate for positive change in their communities.

Mentorship And Networking

Young leadership training often provides opportunities for mentoring and networking with experienced leaders. Mentors can offer guidance, support, and advice, while networking allows young leaders to connect with like-minded individuals, form alliances, and access resources and opportunities.

Overall our Emerging Leaders training aims to equip young individuals with the necessary skills, knowledge, and mindset to make a positive impact and contribute effectively as leaders in their chosen fields.
